Sara Street

Sara Street envisions a world without dehabilitating inter-personal violence. She has extensive experience in using the arts for her own recovery from domestic violence. She has studied ballet at the R. I. Ballet Center and American Ballet Theater, modern and jazz dance at the Ailey School and jazz dance at the Dance Place, and Luigi's First World Jazz Centre. She has founded and directed several studios including The American Dance School Inc. whose resident dance company opened the Hatch Shell Concerts of 1976 in Boston, MA.

Sara has founded and directed liturgical and contemplative dance groups in MA and NY including the Living Stones who performed at Holy Cross, Mount Saint Alphonsus and other venues both religious and secular. She is the founder and Director of the Artists Alliance Against Violence, Inc. and teaches in her private studio in New York.
